More Than a Finalist :
A Voice for Change

The Heart Behind the Crown

More Than a Title, A Purpose

My name is Varshi Pyndanna. I was born in Mauritius and came to Australia when I was nine years old—leaving behind a world of French to learn English and opening my heart to this beautiful country I now call home. That shift taught me early about resilience, identity, and the importance of belonging.

I’m a Miss World Australia 2025 National Finalist, a provisional psychologist, counsellor, and behaviour support clinician, and I work closely with people through the NDIS. My studies at UWA, Monash, and now La Trobe University have given me the chance to deepen my understanding of people, but it’s the lives I’ve been part of that have shaped me most.

I’ve had the privilege to sit with elders in aged care, to laugh and learn with kids living with disabilities, to stand alongside people showing extreme behaviours, and to listen to stories of struggle and hope as an alcohol and drugs counsellor in Port Hedland. Each role has reminded me that service is not about fixing people—it’s about walking with them, seeing their humanity, and honouring their story.

I am deeply passionate about healing Australia inside out—starting with our children, our First Nations people, and our communities. I believe our schools should raise children to be kind, conscious human beings, not just workers for a system. And I believe in a future where Aboriginal culture and wisdom are cherished as central to who we are as a nation.

Creative Pursuits

My creative journey is not about professionalism—it is about passion. Art allows me to express what words cannot. I am a self-taught dancer, artist, and actress, and through each form, I weave pieces of my culture, my history, and my heart.

I have always been fascinated by culture and diversity. When approached with respect and curiosity, they don’t just add colour to life—they enrich the soul and bring depth to the lands we live on.

My heritage is a tapestry of African roots, French language, Indian ancestry, and an upbringing in Australia. Each thread has shaped the way I move, create, and see the world. For me, art is not just performance—it is storytelling, healing, and a bridge between worlds.

Australia has given me the gift of celebrating all these layers at once, and I believe that true beauty is born when cultures meet, blend, and uplift one another.

My World

Psychology: My Calling

As a child, I used to wish for a superpower—the ability to heal people. Not just their bodies, but their hearts, minds, and spirits.

Psychology became that pathway for me. It gives me the chance to meet people exactly where they are in their world and hold up a mirror to remind them of the truth they may have forgotten: they are light, they are love, they are a divine power.

Every person deserves to be loved, to feel seen, and to know their worth. For me, psychology is not just a profession—it is the most perfect way to live out that calling.

Spirituality

God is my everything. While I was born into the Hindu faith, my experience of divinity has never been confined to one form. I feel it in every branch, every leaf, every spark, and every crinkle in a smiling person’s face. For me, God is in all, and all is God.

The guiding light in my life has been Sathya Sai Baba—my best friend, my Guru, my divine. His teachings of love, service, and unity inspire the way I live, the way I serve, and the way I see the world.

Spirituality, for me, is not separate from psychology, advocacy, or art—it is the thread that weaves them all together. It is the reminder that true beauty begins in the soul, and that service to others is service to the divine.
